_magic magnet makes hi-hats in Ableton very attractive. 128 MIDI patterns + 131 hematite one-shots + 16 controls + 64 sound presets, all wrapped up in a custom drum rack.
 
We tapped, rubbed, clicked, clacked, flipped, threw, and dropped, a set of 5 shiny hematite magnets to make a unique, but useful hit-hat kit in Ableton. We ended up with some pretty slick sounding hats, but also a whole light percussion drum rack slash layered texture making machine.
 
Through the use of multi-samples for each sound, you'll get more realistic patterns without machine-gunning, AKA, re-triggering the same samples. There's always just enough randomness and feel no matter what pattern you throw at this unique instrument.
 
Included are 128 Ableton MIDI clips to get things started. There’s a wide variety of feels and patterns as starting points. There are also 64 sound presets to inspire your own designs, and 16 controls to shape and automate with.
 
We wanted this release to work with all versions of Ableton 12.2+, and make use of the new Drum Sampler device,  and updated Auto Filter capabilities.
