You may not already know about Vital, but you probably want to.

Download Vital for free here. We have a large untapped library of spatial audio recordings, so some are being put to work here, in our first preset pack for Vital as sample layers paired with Vital’s built-in wavetables. We designed a variety of sounds around the sample layers that evoke spaces, textures, and ambiences that add a special kind of depth to the sound design. All sounds were originally recorded ambisonically, which we used to create 2-channel binaural versions for these presets. The music demo uses only presets from this pack, so you can hear the instant vibe these space layers create. You can also watch a patch demo/walkthrough here: (coming soon) We plan on making more spatial audio based presets for Vital, so enjoy this first batch. We recommend to update to the latest version of Vital to ensure compatibility with our presets. See our help page or the README file in your download for instructions on how to install your presets. • 64 Vital synth sound presets in 1 .vitalbank file. • Spatially recorded & binaurally encoded atmospheric noise layer library (850MB) • 100% Royalty-Free. • Designed in Vancouver, Canada by Subsocial Studios.

This ambisonic spatial audio recording captures a huge Aztec drum circle at night in Mexico City's Zócalo Plaza. The performances happen nightly, and many tourists gather around to watch about 100 people dance and chant in a moving circle around a few central drummers with large hand drums. The performers wear shells around their ankles as they step to the beats, while some blow large horns made from shells. The atmosphere is both entrancing and chaotic, while the echo and reverberation from the large stone plaza adds sonic power to the experience. Aztec drum circles were originally meant to please the gods.

This is an ambisonic recording that has been encoded for both ambisonic and binaural playback. Your audio application must support ambisonic file types in order to use the ambisonic recording for spatial audio productions and mixes. The binaural version can be used and played back by any stereo system. Standard headphones are needed in order to have a more immersive auditory experience.
