_continental drift takes Ableton’s Drift to new worlds with 25 devices and 300 presets that stack the lusty lubriciousness of this new synthesizer. The “drift” part of Ableton Drift is something special. It brings a subconscious charm with its more oblique approach to the notion of stability. We’ve been loving it so far, so we thought we’d expand on this theme. What would multiple Drift instruments stacked in parallel sound like? Would it be even more “drifty?” The answer is a resounding yes. Having 4 Drifts and some custom effects for a single preset brings a new level of dynamics and depth to the divergence. Each of the 25 Ableton Device Groups forms a base sound that’s comprised of 4 Drift instruments in parallel with realtime effects. Each device has an additional 12 lovingly designed macro presets to get you started and inspired to make your own moves. Load any or all of the ADG files in any project, and you’re ready to play, explore, and automate the sounds and device macros. "No synth is an island, entire of itself; every synth is a piece of the continent." • 25 Ableton 11.3+ Ableton Devices made with Drift + Effects. • 300 total macro presets for Ableton Drift. • 1 Ableton 11.3+ Session. • 100% Royalty-Free. • Designed in Vancouver, Canada by Subsocial Studios.

_the shakes brings free infinite rhythmic + textural design to Ableton for sampled shakers and tambourines. Instant pattern gen + blend at your fingertips.

We always want some sort of extra percussive thing or texture to accent our beats, but making new rhythms from scratch and finding samples is a chore. What if we could just load up an instrument with a bunch of useful patterns that we could blend in parallel and be done with it? We set off and sampled our favourite studio shakers and tambourines, and brought them into Ableton Live for something s-s-special.

We used over 60 Max for Live devices in this pattern bending and blending power tool, then sprinkled on some cool effects, and 41 macro presets to show you the ropes. Automate the macros for pattern presets and FX for maximum shakiness.

From straight time to fake time, these are the shakes.

Note: This device uses 60+ Max for Live MIDI devices in just 1 Ableton Device so expect loading times to be long (Average is +/-1 min).

• 36 shaker and tambourine samples. (5MB)

• 20x3 different bendable percussion patterns (60 total).

• 1 Ableton 11.3+ Session.

• 1 Ableton Device with 41 effects + pattern presets.

• 96k/24bit .wav sources.

• 100% Royalty-Free.

• Designed in Vancouver, Canada by Subsocial Studios.

_80s horror resurrects vintage terrors brought back from the dead courtesy of a 1986 E-mu Emax digital sampler. 136 samples of classic SFX + eerie instruments.

These samples come from an E-Mu official factory sounds floppy disk named, “Jason Part 13” and bring instant low budget 1980s horror movie vibes. From scrapes, to creaks, to strings and percussion effects, the 20 patches on the disk have that nostalgic necrosis you’ve been looking for. We sampled each sound at regular intervals across the keyboard for added patch authenticity.

Both the samples and the Emu Emax sampler were created somewhere between 1981 and 1989. Sample libraries came on floppy disks and have a very "early digital" sound quality. Since the sampler has its own built-in 80s effects, you’ll hear its analogue filters, chorus, phaser, and flanger on some sounds. The way the original presets were made is also very 80s, from the panning, to the wacky pitching of single samples and hardware limitations - and it's all here

Cash is cursed here, but not to worry, these samples are free!

• 136 E-mu Emax Sampler Samples (710MB)

• 96k/24bit .wav sources.
