Watch a demo walkthrough of this pack and see what's inside here:

_tightly wound takes a rare library of spring reverb noises and weaves them into a truly unique, hybrid instrument + transition FX generator for Ableton.

Braeden “Pockets” Rangno has teamed up with us once again for another cheeky creation. Pockets asked what we could do with a library of samples he created while misusing and experimenting with his collection of spring reverb boxes. We said, “We have no idea, but we’ll reverberate on it for while and see.” He said, “cool.” So here we are.

We wanted to design something that can easily generate risers, builds, swooshes, transitions and abstract bass, keys, and percussion sounds.

We used over 2 continuous minutes of the magically magnetic moments he captured to create a hybrid instrument and sound design device like no other. Think 70s swagger meets 21st century sound designer bro. At the heart of this, we have Ableton’s Vector Grain, a device that’s also heavily inspired by magnetics. Vector Grain transforms the spring reverb multisample source file into a fully re-pitched, playable, and designable noise generator that can blur the line between instrument and effect.

Simply use MIDI notes to trigger pitched sound sources, and use the 16 macro controls to shape and design your sound and automate in your timeline. To make it even easier, we included 64 sound presets and 16 starter Ableton Clip (.ALC) MIDI sequences for you to drop in and use anywhere you like. You’ll be up and designing in no time.
